Back-to-School Immunizations, Vaccinations, and Screenings for Children & Adults
University of Utah Health invites you and your children to Healthy Start West Valley. U of U health is partnering with Granite School District, Ascent Academy, and Operation Warm to provide these:
- Vaccinations
- Screenings
- A free pair of shoes for children ages K through 6th grade

- All screenings are free.
- You don’t need an ID.
- Please bring your COVID vaccine card and insurance card (if applicable).

Granite School District
Granite School District is located in the Salt Lake Valley. It operates 20 elementary schools, three junior high schools, and two high schools in West Valley City.

For over 20 years, University Neighborhood Partners (UNP) has been bringing together the west side communities of Salt Lake City. UNP has formed partnerships with higher education, community institutions, and west side residents.

West Valley City
West Valley City boasts a population of more than 145,000 residents. This makes it the second-largest city in Utah. “Progress as Promised” is the motto of West Valley City. We see this from the city founding by Joseph Harker with his family's first camp on the banks of the Jordan River in 1848. We also see this in the development of a bustling center for business, recreation, and entertainment.
West Valley City has long celebrated its cultural diversity. The 2020 Census Report estimated that racially and ethnically diverse populations at more than 60 percent.
Operation Warm
Between the ages of four to 14, children outgrow their shoe size every four to eight months on average. Operation Warm's brand-new shoes will inspire your child’s confidence. They will encourage outdoor play and help your child socialize with their peers. They can play with pride.
