Health Care Coming to West Valley
University of Utah Health is building a medical campus in West Valley that will include:

The medical campus is designed to address the health and wellness priorities of West Valley residents.
We will complete the medical center in phases. These phases will start with the multi-specialty health center and emergency department followed by the hospital.
Meet Me Where I Am
Meet Me Where I Am is a short film following Adolphus Nickleberry's journey. Adolphus was treated at the Intensive Outpatient Clinic (IOC) at University of Utah Health.
The IOC clinic shows a working collaborative approach to health care in Utah. We aim to implement this in West Valley.
About the Medical Center
Location
University of Utah Health is building a multi-specialty health center, emergency department, and hospital at 3750 South and 5600 West.
Phase 1
We will complete the project in phases. The first phase will be the multi-specialty health center. We expect to break ground mid to late 2024.
This health center will be designed support patient hospital rooms in a future phase.
Health Center Specialties (Outpatient Care)
The specialty health center will include the following services:
- Primary care
- Heart care
- Pediatrics
- Orthopedics
- Women’s health
- Mental health
- Dental health
- Urgent care
- Emergency department
- Surgical and disease specialties
In addition, there will be a pharmacy, labs, and imaging services.
Our goal is to provide culturally responsive care and:
- Hire employees from the West Valley community
- Provide interpreter services and support in different languages
- Include the community in designing the health center and hospital
We want to build a health center and hospital that is a comfortable and welcoming setting for all West Valley residents.
