Impact Partnerships

Empowering Education, Growth, and Community

West Valley Impact Partnerships

In West Valley City, the University of Utah is collaborating across campus and with the community to launch Impact Partnership projects that reflect the community’s goals and priorities — expanding access to health care, education, and economic growth. In addition to building state-of-the-art health care facilities, we are developing the following:

Community Investment Trust

In partnership with West Valley residents and community organizations, the University of Utah is working to develop a Community Investment Trust (CIT) in West Valley—a model of community ownership designed to build financial empowerment and long-term impact for residents.

Partnership Center

In advance of the opening of the Eccles Health Center, University of Utah is looking for a location to establish a partnership center—a shared space where residents, community organizations, and university employees can connect, collaborate, and learn together.

Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute

The Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute, Utah’s preeminent public policy institute, prepares economic, demographic, and public policy research. The Gardner Institute has recently launched a series of fact sheets, “Northwest Valley Datapoints,” that include vital information for residents, leaders, and lawmakers to use in helping the community continue to prosper.
